About

Hi, my name is Alexander Hormann.

I am a mathematics and sports teacher at a boarding school in Holzminden, Germany.

Outside of work, I have a great passion for nature photography, which developed most strongly during my thru-hike of the 4,270 km long Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada in 2018 – an incredible experience for which I am very grateful, as it has had a lasting positive impact on my life in many ways.

To show people the beauty of nature and teach them how to treat it with respect, I published my first photo book about the PCT in 2020 and later took my sister, my girlfriend and even my students on several hikes in the European mountains.

During a walk in the woods near my home in April 2021, an unexpected encounter with fox cubs inspired me to see and preserve the beauty of nature not only in distant mountains, but also right where I live.

I hope my images encourage you to do so as well!

If you want to know more about me or my work, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
